Le frenetiche canzoni che Little Richard eseguiva in quegli anni sarebbero rimaste gli esempi del più isterico rock'n'roll fino all'avvento del punk-rock: Tutti Frutti (1955), Long Tall Sally (1956), Rip It Up (1956), Lucille (1957), Keep a Knocking (1957), Good Golly Miss Molly (1958). obscene furious rock 'n roller
The rock is grounded in black music, the blues, but also had a considerable influence on gospel music. In New Orleans singer and pianist named Esquerita (Eskew Reeder) coined a wild style of execution that was popularized by Little Richard (Penniman). In addition to performing as animals they added another level of provocation: their clothes and make-up of the face were obscene. Esquerita and Little Richard were in fact the first exponents of rock decadence. The frenetic songs that Little Richard performed in those years would have been more hysterical examples of rock and roll until the advent of punk-rock: Tutti Frutti (1955), Long Tall Sally (1956), Rip It Up (1956) , Lucille (1957), Keep on Knocking (1957), Good Golly Miss Molly (1958).
